John Bargerstock, MS, PA-C –Clinical Director

John is a 30-year military veteran of the United States Army. He served on Active Duty for the US Army 1/22 Infantry Division, 10th Mountain Division from 1985-1988; the US Army Reserves 75th Training Support Division from 1988-2006; and the Texas Army National Guard 249th Aviation Support Battalion from 2006-2015.


John is a licensed PA-C in Texas with a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Baylor College of Medicine since December 2001. He currently provides clinical evaluation, patient education, and protocol driven treatment of men and women with imbalanced hormones, who have documented, qualifying lab values and symptoms that meet treatment eligibility. He adheres to the standards promulgated by The Endocrine Society®, AUA, and AACE, and maintains compliance with state and federal regulations as required by CLIA, Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, and the DEA.
He screens all new patients and determines the need for certain pre-screening tests, other necessary referrals, and ultimately determines if treatment is medically necessary. He routinely interprets lab and other test results and aberrations that require specialized treatment protocols. He has several years of clinical experience in wellness treatment administration and monitoring, and is among the top wellness providers in the area.

Prior to joining his current endeavor treating wellness patients, John was a Surgical PA at UTMB-Galveston’s Department of General Surgery from January 2013 to October 2014. He was recruited away for his organizational, leadership and management skills necessary to successfully start up and grow a brand new center for another industry-leading competitor.


Before his time at UTMB-Galveston, John was the on-site clinician and medical provider for HSWL Medical Clinic SFO Galveston – United States Coast Guard from April 2010 to December 2012. He also served as the senior Orthopedic Physician Assistant for MD Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Orthopedic Oncology in Houston from January 2004 to April 2010.


From 2006 to 2015, he was the Brigade Battalion Aeromedical Physician Assistant for the HSC 449th ASB, HHC 36th CAB, Texas Army National Guard – San Antonio and Austin. Prior to this, he was the Company Physician Assistant for E Co. 249th Medical Support Battalion, Texas Army National Guard in Austin.
John has significant experience providing solid leadership and mentorship, effective personnel management, exceptional organizational skills, sound ethical medical practices, and accurate patient diagnosis/prognosis with proven effective results creating excellent patient rapport and satisfaction.

 

James Jackson, MD – Medical Director/Advisory Board

Dr. Jackson is a local seasoned ER medical professional and entrepreneur who founded Emergicare, a stand-alone Clear Lake based emergency clinic, in 2010. As a graduate of Clear Lake High School, he went on to receive a Biochemistry degree from Texas A&M University and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.


At UTMB-Galveston, he served as the Chief Resident of Internal Medicine and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine. He also practiced emergency medicine at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital for 10 years prior to opening Emergicare in 2010.


Dr. Jackson brings a wealth of medical knowledge, expertise, mentorship and business acumen in his repertoire. He is passionate about the KeyT Wellness mission and philosophy and is dedicated and honored to serve as our Medical Director.
